Delicious. Plant produces good yields of large 35 lb watermelons. It has red flesh which is very juicy and sweet and it’s dark green color is very attractive. It is easy to grow. This variety has thin, strong rind, making slicing easy. This is a heirloom variety that has been grown for almost 200 years. Seeds can be sown directly into garden when soil is warm or started in containers and transplanted when several inches tall. Perfect for slicing, the Watermelon Kleckley Sweet seeds will produce large, cylindrical melons with thin yet strong rinds. Maturing in 85 days, this white-seeded variety has a deep, dark green color providing an attractive contrast to its juicy, red and fine-textured flesh.
