Product description
Also known as Single Leaf or Flat Leaf Parsley, this variety is like a small version of Italian Giant with slightly less uniformity and less cold tolerance. The flavor is richer than curled varieties, and it is ready for harvest in about 75 days. In Italy and Greece, flat leaved parsley such as Plain/Single Leaf grows wild in the rocks and has been used for both culinary and medicinal purposes for generations. A flat-leaved variety used in salad dressings, poultry, soups and as an ingredient of pesto. Whether used dried or fresh, parsley adds a flavorful boost to many dishes. Parsley seeds can be direct sown in early spring, fall, or indoors in the winter. Parsley prefers a rich, moist soil and full sun, but partial shade is acceptable. To harvest parsley for use throughout the season, cut entire leaves from the outer edge of the plant. At the end of the growing season, harvest the entire plant to be prepared for storage.
